My first ambulance ride...

So I had my first ambulance ride on Tuesday. Bubs and I went to Luray, VA in the Shenandoah Valley (yes, Ticheli's Shenandoah). We had gone kayaking in June and decided to go back. We went tubing this time. We got to Class 2 rapids, and I flipped my tube over backward and nailed my head on a rock. Bubs was behind me so I held my foot really hard to a rock to keep from flowing further down river. I finally let go and just tried to hold onto the raft. When we got out, my legs were bleeding really bad. Bubs ripped up his shirt and tied them off {my hero ;o)}. He got me to eat and drink a little. I was shaking and nauseous and dizzy. So Bubs yelled over to these guys in a canoe - turns out they're boy scouts. They dressed my wounds, treated me for shock and called 911. Turns out I have a contusion on my head and some really nasty cuts up and down my legs. Other than that, I'll be fine. Bubs was amazing - stayed with me the whole time, kept me talking, was worried out of his head. I'm really lucky, I finally got a good one :)
