Decisions

So, I have to make a decision and I don't know what to do. There is a job opening in Ardmore at one of the middle schools. It would be perfect for me because dad lives there, it would be closer to Cash, it would be closer to my friends that are all in/or will be in Texas after May and it would be a bigger program with just middle school. All thoughts are positives. Now the negatives... I really like it here, I feel like I would be abandoning the kids and all the plans I have for next year. I haven't said a word about leaving and I don't think the program would survive another director change. Plus it'd be way far away from mom. I haven't even applied, I don't know if I should. What if they call me back for an interview and I go and they offer me the job. I don't even know if I really want the job but it gets me closer to family and friends. BAH! I planned on staying here for a few years but always keeping an ear to the ground for openings like this and now there is one but I'm not certain I'm ready to go yet. I was planning on making the move after or around the time Cash graduates. I know it will be hard to leave but I know that we had always talked about me moving back. If I moved to Ardmore it would be closer to his family too. I feel like I've finally started to make a difference here. I have kids that were going to quit next year thinking about coming back which is HUGE and I know of two kids that would be devastated if I left. I also feel like I should stay for my resume. If I leave everywhere I go people will ask why I only stayed for a year and while I will tell them it was because I was a little overwhelmed running a full program by myself and that move offered me a chance to be closer to family, they will always have questions and skepticism because you only leave after the first year if it's horrible, you're horrible or they didn't want you back. I feel like I'm making a mistake if I don't apply though. HELP.

House!

We put in an offer on the house yesterday! You can see what it looks like: http://www.sellmd.com/ClientPropertyDetails?ls=MRIS&pid=BC6965941&search_id=1280802387&show_virtual_tour=yes&show_description=yes&show_address=yes. We're so excited :o) Hopefully I'll find out today whether or not they accepted our offer. It's really, really scary though. We will definitely have a guest bedroom, so you can stay as long as you want!

:o(

Multiple things are going on and/or bother me right now.

1. The house was taken off the market. Not the best thing, not the worst thing.
2. I'm so stressed out that I've taken to crying randomly. I need serious help.
3. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow.
4. I have very few friends.
5. I can't relax. Ever. I don't even know how to relax.
6. There are things I want so bad it almost hurts, but I can't get them.
7. I can't come up with 10 things for this list.
8. My electric bill is ridiculous. Like half my rent ridiculous.
9. Iran has potential to make the bomb. And I work right outside of DC.
10. I wish I didn't work outside of DC. I want to move back to Carroll County.

I know there's more, but I can't come up with them. I'm freaking out all the time. I need to fix it. I don't know what to do :o(

Ugh

Not lame, you're just busy. It's good you finally learned stick. If only I could teach Bubs...

I love recipezaar. There's another one I like too, but I don't remember what it's called. We make chicken parmesan all the time, amending this recipe: http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/pork-cutlets-parmesan. I've never actually had Moo Goo Gai Pan. I'll have to try it.

I got a kitchen aid from David for Christmas and I use it all the time. I love it.

I think school is crazy all around. I can't imagine going to districts. I have a hard enough time getting them to do what I want in the classroom. It's weird - when I'm in school, I can't wait for the weekend. But on the weekend, I feel the need to go to school. I guess I'm getting bored at home.

Bubs and I are housesitting while his parents are visiting Allana in Germany. I miss being home. Not that I don't like it here, but home is comfy.

As for the house, my mom is going to loan us the down payment. But she can't do that until April. So it's hurry up and wait in that respect.

A lot to catch up on...

How sad is it that I came up with the plan but can't keep up with just once a week! I think it's because I have that other blog. Lame, I know. Well, Cash was up for the weekend for V-Day. We had lots of fun though we really didn't do much. You'll be glad to know that I learned how to drive a standard in the (non-rainy) daylight. I even got out of the parking lot and onto real roads. So the next time we need to go clubbin in your car you can drink and we can actually get home!

The puppy is doing great. She's only peed on my bed once but then I haven't let her sleep up there all night since. I've been trying out a lot of new recipes lately. I found some on recipezarr that are really great. One was a chicken parmesan recipe that was super easy and restaurant good. We made a Valentine's Day meal with chicken, artichokes, tomatoes and mushrooms and some other stuff that made it taste like Moo Goo Gai Pan. Like really good Moo Goo Gai Pan! So my plan is to make it again but instead of tomatoes and pasta to add water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and baby corn and voila! I've got kick ass chinese food at home!

I also made chocolate moose. Turns out I'm finally using my Kitchen Aid like it's supposed to be used. It turned out really well too. It's been a good week for food. School is getting crazy. Only two weeks left until district contest and we have A LOT of work to do. Too bad I am taking a kid to Lawrence, KS for an honor band thing this weekend and will be gone of Friday. Yay for loosing rehearsal days. I think they'll do well but I'm nervous because I've never been the director at one of these things. I want the kids to do well and there are these two sections that I have no faith in. AGHHHH! So much to do and so little time. Good news is that after district it's smooth sailing. Ok that's all I have on my side for now. I'll do better, I PROMISE! Love you lady!

P.S. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE HOUSE!!! You will have to explain to me how you managed to fix the deposit problem though. I'm so excited for you! Now you can be the grown-up and I can be the kid!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!

Bubs and I are pre-approved for our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it!

YAY FOR SNOW DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad I went to bed at 7:30 and and wide awake now anyway...

My corset should be here today! I love love love love love it! The ones at Wal-mart (the only ones I've ever been able to find) hit too high. This looks perfect! We'll see. Eeep! I can't wait :oD For V-day I was thinking about making hearts with stuff on them on springy paper pieces and taping them to the ceiling down in the foyer. Other than that, a good breakfast, and the other thing I got, I don't know what else to do for V-day. Bubs works until 10 am so I've got time to get things ready. Thoughts? What are you doing for Cash?

AND...
I'm an auntish! Aidan is the cutest baby I've ever seen. He's got red hair! Facebook stalk Allana to see pics.

AND...
Bubs went out and got some nice clothes. Like an actual shirt and tie kind of thing. And he's been cleaning the house while I work. It's awesome. You wouldn't recognize this place.

So much going on!

You'd be proud of me :o)

Things that are your fault:

1. I'm sitting here watching Alton Brown. I love it! I ran into him (on Food Network of course) by accident and get all excited when I happen across his shows.

2. I have a fantastically cute bed set. I'll have to post pictures. It's sophisticated but slightly girly. Our bedroom/office furniture matches oh so well. Have you ever been to Ikea?

3. I'm trying to dress myself (and consequently my mother) a little more....Casey-like. I'm actually wearing clothes that fit and are appropriate for my job. That might have something to do with "What Not to Wear."

Something that isn't your fault:
I've been using TV to unwind at the end of the day!!!

Love you!

THE PLAN!

I've got IT! So what do you think about Atlanta? I've been doing some research into our summer get-away and I think it's perfect. They have a Six Flags there with what look to be AWESOME coasters, at least 7 but I don't remember exactly. There will be plenty of night clubs and museums and stuff to satisfy day-time and evening plans and I think it will be perfect! Maybe a little hot, but anywhere we go during the summer will be! So whaddya think? It's a pretty equal distance and it's SIX FLAGS! I'm already craving those coasters!

On another point, we really need to use this more. There's no reason we can't other than sheer laziness so I say we make it a point to blog here at least once a week with life updates (no matter how mundane.) And I'll even start.

Let's see... This past weekend I went to Norman to surprise Cash. His friend was supposed to come up but had to cancel so I took the opportunity to go see him. We had a pretty good weekend. We spent most of Saturday trying to get his old car in good enough shape to drive it back to Durant/towing it down there and visiting my dad. Sunday we lazed around and I got my Target fix before I headed home. Monday we had a professional development day so no kids at school and free lunch so that was a score and now we're back to work on district stuff.

I'm going to Tulsa this weekend for a conducting clinic/director's band concert so that should be super fun. I just need to get back in the saddle with my oboe cause I haven't played in forever. I really need new reeds, but Mario keeps distracting me with addicting entertainment.

Ok, last thing. Interesting activity of the week: Looking for Mexican Coke. When we were at my dad's we found some bottled (glass bottles) of Coke imported from Mexico. It was really good and totally different than American coke from plastic bottles. We all liked it so much we decided to get some when we got back to Norman and ended up going to 2 different Wal-marts and three other grocery stores to find it and no such luck. So if you ever happen to see some, pick one up and try it cause I know you'll like it.

Ok, that's it, I have to go to lunch duty now. I expect to see a blog in the near future! LOVE YOU!!!!!
